Man, now I gotta ask... what brand of tortillas were they exactly? The price difference has me wondering if I've been missing out on something obvious at my own store.

Totally agree with you on this. I've noticed the same thing with generic cereal brands tasting just as good or better than the name brand stuff, sometimes the simpler recipes just hit different. Plus it feels like you're getting a win when the cheap option actually works better, makes you question why you ever paid extra. Now I'm curious what other everyday staples have hidden gems like this.
