Took me forever to decide between spray foam and rigid board for my attic in Buffalo

I was closing up my attic ceiling last month and had to pick between spray foam insulation and rigid foam boards, and I went with the spray foam because I read it seals gaps better. It cost me about $600 more than the boards would have, but the attic feels way more even temperature-wise now. Anyone else make this choice and regret or love what they picked?

Oh man, spray foam was definitely the right call for Buffalo winters. The air sealing alone makes it worth the extra cash cause those old houses are basically wind tunnels lol. You'll probably save that $600 back in heating bills after 2 or 3 brutal winters up there.

Read a study that said air sealing is actually more important than insulation thickness for cold climates. You're gonna notice the difference when the wind stops whistling through the walls lol.
