Showerthought: the tile guy who quoted me $3,400 was right and I had to apologize to him last week
So back in April I decided to redo my bathroom myself to save money, watched maybe 40 hours of videos, and figured tile was just glue and patience. Six weeks later the floor is uneven, the grout lines wander around like they're drunk, and I have $900 in tools I'll never touch again. My neighbor finally made me call a pro, and he looked at it for about 10 seconds and said the subfloor needed work I never even checked. Anybody else been humbled by a room that looked easy on video? Specifically wondering if I should pull it all up or just let him fix what's there.
