Rant: That baseboard corner took me 3 hours to figure out

I was trying to install baseboards in my living room in Columbus and kept messing up a 45 degree inside corner. Turns out my miter saw was off by 2 degrees because it got bumped. Has anyone else spent way too long on a cut that should take 5 minutes?

Those 45s are tricky even with a good saw.

Tried cutting one freehand once (big mistake) and ended up with a 47 degree mess.
