Paint sprayer vs roller for kitchen cabinets - the sprayer won by a mile

I spent last Saturday comparing a $40 Wagner sprayer to just using a roller on my oak cabinets in Denver. The roller left brush marks no matter how careful I was, but the sprayer gave me that smooth factory look in half the time. Only catch is you gotta tape EVERYTHING off or you'll find paint on your fridge handles for weeks. Has anyone else tried the higher end Graco units vs the cheap ones?

Oh man, your experience sounds way better than my friend Derek's! He tried a cheap sprayer on his bathroom vanity in Boston and ended up with paint all over his tile floor, his dog's tail, and somehow the ceiling too. He finally gave up and called a pro with a Graco, which looked like magic compared to his mess.

Ngl, Derek's story hits close to home - I've definitely had my share of "found paint on stuff I didn't tape off" moments, that dog tail part cracked me up though.
