My tile saw blade kept chipping the edges of my subway tile in my kitchen backsplash.

I was getting really frustrated after ruining three pieces, so I tried putting a strip of painter's tape along my cut line before scoring. It worked perfectly and gave me a clean break every time! Has anyone else found a simple trick like this for tricky cuts?

I used a cheap diamond blade and ran it backwards for a few seconds first...
