My neighbor in Toledo showed me his trick for cutting baseboard corners

He just said 'measure the wall, not the trim' and it clicked. Anyone have a better method for those tricky inside angles?

Measuring the wall sounds good until your walls aren't square... then you're stuck with gaps. A coping saw is the only reliable fix for those bad angles. That old trick just sets you up for failure on older homes.

But have you actually tried the measuring method on a wall that's off? I've done tons of baseboard jobs and a careful measure with a angle finder gets you real close. Coping is a skill not everyone has, and it's way slower. For a DIY person, getting the cut right from the start beats fixing a bad cope any day.
