I wasted $200 on a fancy paint sprayer before realizing a cheap roller did a better job on my living room walls
I spent three hours cleaning that thing after every coat, and the paint still ended up splattered all over my baseboards in my Denver bungalow, so has anyone else found that sprayers are just not worth it for small rooms?

I mean, "wasted" is a pretty strong word for a $200 tool that probably still works fine. You could always use it for bigger projects or outdoor stuff down the line, right? Seems like more of a learning curve thing than a total loss, idk.

Ngl, @wendyk63 I get where you're coming from but honestly that "still works fine" part is kinda the issue. My buddy actually had one of these, spent like three weekends trying to get it to cut straight on anything bigger than a 2x4. Ended up giving it to his dad who uses it for firewood now, which is fine but not really what you drop $200 on, you know? The learning curve thing is real but sometimes a tool is just not built for the job you need it for, no matter how much you try. He said every time he used it he felt like he was fighting the thing instead of working with it. So yeah, not a total loss but definitely a waste of time and space in his garage.
