I chose self leveling compound over plywood patches for my sagging garage floor and I'll never go back
My 1950s garage floor in Cleveland had a 2 inch dip near the door that pooled water every time it rained. I got quotes for mudjacking at $1,800, but a guy at the local builder supply said to try a $45 bag of self leveling compound first. I prepped the concrete with a grinder, poured it in one afternoon, and it set up dead flat in 24 hours. The plywood patch idea I almost went with would have rotted out in one winter. Has anyone else used self leveler in a garage, and did yours crack after a few freeze thaw cycles?
