Am I the only one who had a squirrel move into their soffit during a demo?

I was tearing out the old rotted wood on my house in Tacoma, and a whole family just stared at me from the insulation like I was the rude one. Anyone else had unexpected wildlife tenants during a project?

Oh man, that's a classic home reno surprise. Found a whole nest of mice in a wall once and it totally stopped work for the day. Nature really does not care about our project timelines.

Ugh, that's the worst. Did you have a plan for dealing with them or was it total panic? I had to learn the hard way that you gotta seal up every tiny crack after you clear them out, otherwise a new family just moves right back in. I spent more on steel wool and spray foam than I did on drywall that month. It really teaches you to check for signs of pests before you even start demo on an old place.
