Tried to level a wobbly table with a dollar bill and it worked for 3 weeks

I was at a diner last Saturday morning and my coffee kept sloshing over because the table leg was short. I grabbed a dollar bill from my tip money and folded it up under the leg, figured it was a quick fix. Three weeks later I'm still using that same bill because the table hasn't wobbled once. Now I'm wondering if I should just glue coins under all my furniture legs instead of buying those felt pads. Has anyone else used cash as a shim and had it hold up that long?

Hate when that happens. I had a coffee table that was wobbling for months and finally just shoved a folded napkin under it out of frustration, thing still hasn't budged

That dollar bill shim trick is seriously underrated. Most people think paper will just flatten out but a folded bill has way more bite than you'd expect. The real secret is that paper money has that cotton linen blend that actually grips the floor better than plastic felt. Three weeks is impressive though, my record is about two months before the bill got kicked out by my dog. You're onto something with the coins idea but make sure you clean them first, old pennies have that gunk that can stain carpet. Honestly if it works it works, furniture pads are overpriced anyway.
