The trunk load trick I picked up at the Habitat ReStore loading dock

Three weeks back I was grabbing some used lumber at the Habitat ReStore off Route 9 and a guy in an F-150 showed me how to strap 8 foot boards using a single knot instead of three separate ones. He said he learned it running deliveries in Albany and it saves about 5 minutes per trip if you do it right. Tried it on the mini split install for my folks' garage and the load stayed put the whole 40 mile ride. Anyone else got a loading trick that beats the obvious way?
