Still stewing about that guy at the lumber yard last month

I was grabbing some 2x4s for a shed build and this older guy walks up, watches me pick through the pile, and goes 'you know those are all warped, right?' Like I hadn't been checking each one. He actually stood there and pointed at a board I just set aside, said it was 'perfectly good' and I was being too picky. I just nodded and walked away, but it stuck with me. Anyone else run into these self-appointed inspectors at the lumber yard?

Yeah, I feel that. Last time I was there I grabbed a board that looked fine and somehow it was warped enough to build a rocking chair into a shed wall.

Yeah, I started checking every board by sighting down the length before I even grab it.
