Rant: That neighbor who "helped" me hang drywall

Last summer, my neighbor Bob came over to show me how to hang drywall in my garage. He spent twenty minutes lecturing me about using a drywall lift, then pushed me aside to hang the first sheet himself and cracked it right down the middle. Has anyone else had a "helper" who just made things worse?

My grandpa was that guy. He came over to help me build a shed and spent the first hour telling me how to measure twice cut once, then cut the first board three inches too short. I used to think anyone offering help was always a good thing, but I get it now. Sometimes their “help” just sets you back.

Didn't you used to think anyone offering to help was being nice and that was the end of it? I was the same way until my dad insisted on helping me redo my bathroom tile and left me with a floor that slopes toward the wall. It's like they mean well but sometimes their version of help just makes more work for you in the long run.
