I got tired of losing drill bits in my garage so I hung a $3 magnetic strip from IKEA and now I can't stop staring at it
Every single time I drilled something in the garage I'd drop the bit on the floor and crawl around hunting for it under the workbench, which happened like 4 times in one Saturday afternoon. So I grabbed one of those cheap magnetic knife racks from IKEA for $3, screwed it to the wall above my bench, and just stuck every bit and driver up there. The weird part is my whole family walked in and thought I'd remodeled the garage because it suddenly looked so clean. Now I actually finish projects faster since I'm not on my hands and knees every 10 minutes. Has anyone else tried this, and do the magnets mess with your bits over time?
