Zip tie trick for monitor arms that blew my mind

Got a dual monitor arm from Amazon for $45 and the cables were sagging like crazy. Tried those sticky cable clips but they fell off after 2 days. Saw a YouTube video where someone used small zip ties to attach the cables directly to the arm grooves, then snipped the ends flush. Worked way better than any velcro strap I tried before, and it cost me like $3 for 100 ties at Home Depot. Anyone got a trick for hiding cables when using a standing desk converter?

Honestly I used to think zip ties were too messy for cable management but after trying it on my monitor arm I'm totally converted. You got any tips for keeping the ties from sliding around on smoother surfaces?

Oh man, zip ties are a game changer for sure. For my standing desk converter I actually used those small clear command hooks on the underside of the desktop. Ran the cables along the edge of the converter and tucked them into a cable sleeve I got for like $5. Keeps everything off the floor when I raise it up and the hooks peel off clean when I need to move stuff around.
