Why does nobody talk about the wobbly desk leg that almost made me scrap my whole build
Last Saturday I finished a $60 plywood desk in my garage and the front left leg wobbled about a quarter inch. I live in a rental in Austin so I can't bolt anything to the floor. I sat there for 20 minutes ready to throw the top in the truck and call it a loss. Instead I cut a scrap 2x4 into a small wedge and shimmed the foot with two screws into the leg. It's dead solid now and you can't even see the fix under the carpet. Before you rebuild a whole frame, check if a simple shim does the job. What's your go-to fix for a leg that won't sit flat?
