Why does nobody mention how a $2 flea market find in Akron changed my whole cable setup
About 7 years ago I was at the Summit County flea market in Akron, just killing time on a Saturday morning with $20 in my pocket. Some old guy had a table full of junk and I spotted this little bag of adhesive cable clips for 2 bucks. I almost walked past them because back then my whole setup was a rat's nest of zip ties and tape holding everything under the desk, and I figured clips were just clips. But I bought them anyway and stuck them along the back edge of my desk that night, and it honestly changed how I think about cable management. Before that I was always crawling under there with the tape gun every few months when stuff came loose. Now I just pop the cable in and out of the clip in two seconds when I swap a mouse or add a drive. I still have that same desk 7 years later and those cheap clips are holding up better than the $15 velcro kit I bought later. It's funny how the small dumb stuff you grab on a whim outlasts the stuff you plan out. Has anyone else found a cheap fix at a flea market that beat a real store bought solution?
