TIL my cable sleeves were the problem, not the fix

I zip tied every cable into one tight bundle under my desk for 2 years because that's what all the setup videos show, and my USB drive kept dropping out. Then I touched the bundle after an hour of work and it was warm, so I cut the ties and let each cable hang loose with a little slack, and the dropouts quit that same day. Anyone else find that neat cable bundles cause more trouble than they look like they're worth?
