Stop using zip ties for cable management under your desk

I used to run zip ties along the underside of my desk to hold cables. Looked clean for about 3 months until I needed to swap my monitor cable. Had to cut every single zip tie off which took 45 minutes and wrecked my fingers. Now I use velcro straps I got for $8 at Harbor Freight. Can swap cables or add new ones in 2 minutes without any tools. Has anyone else made this switch or found a better budget option?

Oh man, zip ties and I had a bad breakup too. I spent a whole Saturday cutting those little plastic devils off and my fingers were bruised for days. Velcro straps are the only way to go unless you enjoy a little self-inflicted torture every time you upgrade your setup.

Did you ever try using flush cutters instead of regular scissors on those little plastic devils?
