Just realized the $4 pool noodle fix for my monitor arm clamp was better than the $22 pad I almost bought
My clamp was digging a crater into my desk edge so I sliced a pool noodle I had in the garage and wrapped the pad in it, and the wobble is gone. Has anyone else found cheap stuff around the house that beats the actual desk accessories?
The pool noodle wins again, huh? A $4 piece of foam from the dollar store just beat out some fancy "desk protector pad" that probably cost five times as much and does half the job. Funny how the stuff you already have lying around in the garage always seems to work better than the thing someone's trying to sell you online, isn't it? I swear the best fixes are always the ones where you look at a piece of junk and go "hey, that'll do" and then it actually does. Meanwhile I've got a drawer full of overpriced gizmos that never worked as good as a rubber band and a paper clip.
