Hot take: those $12 adhesive cable clips are a trap and I went back to screws
I bought a 50 pack of those no drill adhesive cable clips off Amazon for my setup and they held for about 3 weeks on my painted drywall before popping off in the middle of the night and yanking my monitor cables. My buddy swears by them on his glass desk, so maybe it is a surface thing, but I ended up going back to a $4 pack of screw in coax staples and a roll of velcro from Harbor Freight and nothing has budged in 6 months. Your mileage may vary, but if you rent and hate holes, test one clip for a bit before you stick 30 of them under a desk. Has anyone found an adhesive that actually holds up in a hot room?
