Actually baseboard trick works fine for 500 feet, just make sure you're not blocking your outlets.

Wait, are you really telling me 500 feet is no big deal? I've seen baseboard setups fail at like 100 feet when people cram furniture right against the wall. You're telling me outlets won't get blocked but what about door frames and corners? Those baseboard gaps get killed by rugs and random junk people shove against walls. Honestly, it sounds like you haven't tried this in a real room with actual furniture. I'd want to see it work before I believed it.
