Hit 50 cable ties on my desk build and still had wires dangling everywhere

Ngl I thought I planned enough for a clean setup but after counting 50 zip ties used I still had a mess of cords under my desk so has anyone else underestimated how many ties they need for a full cable management overhaul?

Fifty ties and still a mess, that's the kind of frustration that makes you want to just throw the whole desk out the window. I've been there where you're clipping and bundling, feeling super organized, then you stand back and see this web of cords still hanging out like they're mocking you. It's like every device has some invisible partner cable that only shows up after you've already tied everything down. The whole "measure once, cut twice" thing doesn't apply here because the cables keep changing their minds on how long they need to be. You have my full sympathy on this one.

no way you hit 50 ties and still had wires everywhere man that is brutal. i woulda lost my mind after like 15 and just stuffed everything in a box or something. honestly though its crazy how those cables multiply when you think you got it all sorted out. i did a similar thing last year and ended up using like 30ish ties but still had my monitor cable and mouse cord just flapping around like a flag in the wind. drives me nuts how the cheap cables are always too short but the expensive ones are way too long and you gotta bundle up 3 feet of excess. feels like a never ending battle.
