Broke my monitor mount trying to level it with a hammer
Was out in my garage last Tuesday at 2am adjusting my dual arm setup. Cranked the bolt too hard with a socket wrench and snapped the tilt mechanism clean off. Anyone else jury-rig a fix with a hose clamp? Worked so far.

Hose clamp is a solid temp fix, just make sure it's not putting pressure on the gas spring inside. I've got one holding my left monitor up for six months now with a couple zip ties as backup. You check if the tilt mechanism was aluminum before you cranked it?

Hell yeah, hose clamps are underrated. I've got one on my gas spring arm right now after the cheap plastic clip snapped on my old arm. Been holding a 27" Acer for like 8 months now with no issues. Just gotta make sure you don't overtighten it and crack the plastic housing like I did the first time. That zip tie backup is smart too, might steal that idea.
