Vent: Chased a brake squeal for 3 weekends, turned out to be a 50 cent part

I swapped pads, rotors, even greased everything twice and that squeal on my 2012 Civic wouldn't quit. Finally found a rock wedged between the dust shield and rotor after I gave up and took the wheel off in a parking lot. Has anyone else wasted days on a fix that ended up being something this dumb?
