Man that's rough. I've had a caliper seize up on me mid drive before and it's no joke. Next time you do brakes, make sure you lube the slide pins properly with silicone grease not just any grease. Also check your brake lines for cracks while you're in there, a blown line can leave you with zero pedal out of nowhere. And always pump the brakes before you start the car after a job to make sure everything's seated right.
