Just found a weird trick for stuck brake caliper pins that actually worked
My rear brakes were dragging and I couldn't get the caliper pins to budge with normal tools. I heated the bracket with a propane torch for about 30 seconds, then tapped them out with a punch and a 2 pound hammer. Has anyone else tried this method on a rusty Michigan car?

Heat always seems to be the universal fix for stuck stuff. It's like the first law of rusty car physics.

Disagree on that one. Heat can make things worse by expanding both parts and keeping them locked. I've had way more luck with a good penetrating oil and some patience. Sometimes you need impact, not just heat, to break the bond. It really depends on what the parts are made of and why they're stuck.
