Changed my oil for the first time last month and it felt like a small win.
Did it in my driveway in the rain. Used a cheap pan from the auto store. Took me an hour, but saved about 40 bucks. The old oil was way darker than I thought it would be. Felt good to do it myself instead of waiting at the shop. Anyone have tips for getting the filter off easier next time?

Wait you did it in the rain? That's some serious dedication. I can't imagine trying to get a grip on a wet filter. My hands would be slipping all over the place.
