Changed my mind about used brake rotors after a buddy's Mazda in Austin
Honestly I used to think used rotors were always a scam, but my friend picked up a set from a pick and pull lot for like $40 total and they had maybe 5k miles on them. We measured them with a cheap caliper and they were still within spec, way better than the $120 Autozone ones I was about to order. Ngl the before and after stop was night and day, the car pulls straight now. Has anyone else had luck with junkyard rotors or am I just getting lucky?

Pulled a set off a 95 Civic at Pull-A-Part in San Antonio a few years back, paid $28 for the pair. They had some surface rust but after a quick wire brush and a proper bedding session, they grabbed way better than the cheap drilled ones I had before. I also checked the thickness with a micrometer, not just a caliper, and they were only 0.2mm under new spec. Ended up getting 30k miles out of them before I sold the car, no warping or pulsing. Sometimes you just gotta trust the measurements and not the price tag.
