That $12 laser level I bought from the pawn shop made my shelf look drunk
I hung six shelves in my garage with it last month and every single one slopes toward the corner, so I grabbed a plain bubble level from the dollar bin at Harbor Freight and found the laser was off by half an inch over just eight feet, has anyone else gotten burned by a bargain tool that looked fine on the outside?

That "shelf look drunk" part killed me because mine ended up looking like it had a few beers too. Same thing happened with a cheap stud finder I got at a garage sale, it told me a wall was solid wood and I drilled straight into a pipe. Half an inch over eight feet is wild though, that's not even close to helpful.
