Stopped using a framing nailer for stud walls and went back to screws

Man, I used to swear by my framing nailer for putting up stud walls. Last summer I did a basement reno in Decatur and rushed through a wall with it, only to realize later three studs had shifted just enough to make the drywall hang crooked. Now I pre-drill and use 3-inch torx screws for every stud connection. Takes me about 20 minutes longer per wall but I can actually adjust things before locking them in. Has anyone else found screws worth the extra time on load-bearing walls?

I dunno man, sounds like you might be overthinking it a bit for a standard stud wall. A little settling or shifting is just part of how houses work, you know?
