Shoutout to the guy who built a whole backyard shed from old pallets

I saw it over on Elm Street last weekend, and he even used the wood to make a little planter box. What's the best free material you've ever used for a project?

Old pallets are a solid find. I read a blog once where a guy made a whole fence from them and it held up for years. Free wood is hard to beat.

My uncle in Michigan got a whole set of kitchen cabinets from a neighbor's remodel... just had to haul them away. It's wild how much perfectly good stuff gets tossed out. I see it at the curb every spring cleaning week. People upgrade a TV stand and just leave the old one out in the rain. Makes you wonder about how much waste we create without even thinking.
