Hot take: my $12 clamp from Harbor Freight let go mid-glue-up and I fixed it with a dog leash
I was in my garage in Boise at 11pm last Friday, clamping up a walnut cutting board, when the cheap bar clamp slipped and the whole thing popped apart with glue everywhere. I grabbed my dog's old leash, wrapped it around the board, and cranked it tight with a scrap stick, and it actually held till morning. Anyone else got a dumb save like that, or am I the only one raiding the pet bin for shop tools?
