Had to pick between a corded or cordless circular saw for a deck rebuild in Spokane... went cordless and it was a mixed bag.

Yeah, "mixed bag" is the right way to put it. Cordless is super handy for moving around a big deck, but the battery life can really slow you down on long cuts. For a big job, having a corded one as a backup would have saved me a ton of time.

Actually, the battery life on newer models is pretty solid now. They've come a long way from the old ones that died fast.
