Cordless drill vs corded for cabinet work? My garage test surprised me

Last month I built 14 face frames in my garage near Columbus. Used my 18V drill for the first 7, then dragged out the old corded for the last 7. The cordless felt faster but the corded had way more torque on the #8 screws, no stalling at the end. My buddy swears cordless is fine for everything now, but I saw a real difference in bit wobble on the second box. Is that just my cheap drill, or do you all still keep a corded around for long runs?
