Spent $40 on a cheap torque wrench, should have bought the good one first

Back in April I grabbed a no-name torque wrench off Amazon for fixing my cassette and cranks. The numbers felt loose, clicks were inconsistent. One ride later my chainring bolts backed out halfway down a gravel trail outside Boise. Caught it before damage, but I spent a whole evening re-torquing everything. Then I found a used Park Tool one for $85 at a co-op. Night and day difference, the click is solid every time. Anyone else burn cash on a budget tool that ended up costing more in time?
