Rant: my rear wheel wobble took me 2 days and it was one dumb thing
Last week my back wheel started wobbling so I grabbed my spoke wrench and went to town, and after maybe 40 minutes of tightening and loosening I made it worse. I figured the rim was bent so I ordered a new one, waited two days for it to show up, and swapped everything over in my garage here in Fresno. Still wobbled. Turns out one spoke nipple had a tiny crack where it meets the rim and it was flexing the whole time, a $2 part I could've spotted with a flashlight if I'd looked close enough. What's the dumbest thing that made you chase a fix way longer than it should've taken?
