Learned a crazy cheap fix for squeaky brakes - just use isopropyl alcohol
I was watching a park tool video and they said a lot of brake squeal is just dirt and oil on the rotor (makes sense, right?). A $3 bottle of 91% isopropyl from the dollar store cleaned mine up completely in about 2 minutes. Has anyone else had luck with this or do you swear by something else?

Alcohol works for some people, but I've had mixed results with it. The real trick for me has been properly bedding in new pads and rotors, makes a way bigger difference than any cleaner. YMMV though, every bike seems to have its own personality with brake noise.
