I thought the trick with a zip tie for a stuck seatpost was just a joke until mine was frozen for three months.
I tried everything from penetrating oil to a heat gun, but pouring a full bottle of cola down the tube and letting it sit overnight actually broke the corrosion loose, so has anyone else had luck with weird household fixes for seized parts?
