Unpopular opinion: I wasted 10 months hauling a second laptop around Asia for no reason
I carried a backup MacBook through Bangkok, Lisbon, and Medellin before I finally admitted I only opened it twice the whole time. My main laptop has never failed me and the extra 3 pounds in my bag was pure paranoia. What gear are you all dragging around that you never actually use?

Did you at least name it? Mine is a portable steamer I bought for "travel clothes" and it has steamed exactly zero shirts in two years. Now it just lives in my suitcase as a little metal guilt brick.
