TIL the hostel owner in Medellin told me he's seen 3 nomads leave in a year because of visa rules
Stayed at a place in Laureles back in 2019 and the owner mentioned how folks used to just show up and wing it. Last week I read a comment from a guy in Chiang Mai saying he now budgets $400 a month just for visa runs and agent fees. It got me thinking about how much more planning it takes now just to stay legal, not even to find work. Anyone else notice their monthly costs went up mostly because of paperwork stuff instead of rent?
