That co-working space in Bali lost my internet for 3 days and I almost lost a client because of it
I was in Ubud at this trendy spot near the rice terraces. On day two, their router died and the backup was some mobile hotspot that could barely load email. I had a deadline for a US client worth about $1,200 and had to spend 6 hours at a random café 20 minutes away just to send files. Owner just shrugged and gave me a free smoothie. Has anyone else had a landlord or co-working space completely drop the ball on something essential like wifi?

Did the owner even try to help you find a real backup or just hand you that smoothie and call it a day?

Did you try just buying a local SIM card with a data plan? I had the same thing happen in Mexico City, co-working space wifi went down and the backup was useless. I walked to a Telcel store, spent like 15 bucks on a prepaid SIM with 10GB, and tethering from my phone saved me. It was fast enough for video calls and big file uploads, way better than relying on the space to fix things. I learned to always have that as a backup plan now.
