Spent 5 hours in a Lisbon cafe just trying to open a local bank account, is this normal?
I've been in Portugal for 3 weeks now and thought getting a local bank account would take maybe an hour, but the paperwork and the app verification loop ate up an entire afternoon at a cafe in Alfama. The whole thing took 5 hours and I still don't have the card. Does anyone have a bank here that actually works for nomads, or should I just stick with Wise and move on?
