Nomads who claim they work 40 hours a week but post 20 times a day on Instagram - which is it?
I've been bouncing around Southeast Asia for 2 years now, mostly in Chiang Mai and Bali. I keep seeing the same people on my feed who talk about running a full-time business but somehow have time for 3 cafe visits, a coworking space photoshoot, and sunset drinks every single day. I run a small web dev gig and barely have 2 hours of free time after client calls and actual coding. Are they lying about their workload or am I just slow? Serious question - how many hours do you actually put in versus what you tell people?

Work life balance looks different for different people, your mileage may vary. Some folks are just better at batching their content or have a VA handling the posting.

But what about the people who don't have the luxury of batching or hiring help? The single parents, the ones working two jobs, the folks caring for elderly relatives. Not everyone has a VA in their budget or the energy to prep a week of content on a Sunday night. Seems like the whole "mileage may vary" thing gets thrown around a lot but ignores that for some people, there's no wiggle room at all. For them, work life balance isn't about clever scheduling, it's about just surviving the day. Why are we pretending everyone has the same starting line?
