My coworking host convinced me to try Bali and I laughed at her
She said the internet was actually solid in Canggu but I blew it off until I lost 3 client calls from a Vienna cafe last month and now I'm booking a flight there for June.

Ha, yeah I had almost the exact same reaction when a friend told me to try Bali for remote work. I thought she was crazy. But after losing a whole afternoon to a dodgy cafe connection in Lisbon I caved and went. In my experience Canggu is actually fine most days, but you still want a backup plan. Grab a local SIM with a data hotspot, that saved me more than once when the villa power flickered. Your mileage may vary, but June is dry season so at least you won't have storms taking out the lines.
