Almost lost a client after a bad week in Chiang Mai

Last month I had 5 days straight where the wifi kept dropping during client calls and my laptop fan sounded like a jet engine. I was sweating it out in this tiny coffee shop trying to finish a deadline. My client actually sent me a message saying 'you sound like you're underwater' and I almost panicked. Ended up moving to a coworking space for $150 a month and things got way smoother. Has anyone else had a rough patch that made you rethink your setup?

Wow, that underwater comment would've made me sweat too! So were you paying for the coffee shop wifi specifically or just hoping it'd hold up? I had a similar thing happen in Bali where I was bouncing between cafes and just assumed the wifi would work (spoiler: it didn't). That coworking space save sounds like a smart move for $150 though, did it have dedicated meeting rooms or was it just a better connection that fixed things?
