A barista in Lisbon changed how I pack my work bag
She saw me hauling a 15 pound backpack to a cafe and said I looked like I was moving apartments, not working. Now I carry a slim tote with just a laptop, charger, and one notebook, and I pick spots with lockers. Who else has downsized their daily carry and felt lighter for it?

Traded my 20 pound tool bag for a canvas satchel last year, and it was like someone took a brick off my shoulders. Now it's just a tablet, a pen, and a folded-up packing cube for the rare day I actually need extras.
