Tried a drawing tablet without a screen and almost returned it after day one

I got an XP-Pen Deco MW last week because it was $80 and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. First 2 hours I kept looking down at my hands like a confused puppy, absolutely zero control. By day three I started getting the hang of looking at the monitor instead, and now I actually prefer not hunching over a screen. Has anyone else had that awkward adjustment phase where you almost gave up on it?

Wait, same thing happened to me with a Huion I grabbed on sale. First day I was ready to throw it in the trash. Total brain scramble trying to coordinate my hand with the cursor on screen. But like you said, after a few days it just clicked. Way better for my neck too.
