The projector screen at the local library made me question every gallery spotlight I've used

I checked out the community art room downtown last Tuesday and their $40 clamp-on lamp threw a softer, more honest gradient across a print than the $600 studio rigs I've seen in three showcase videos, so why are we all chasing hardware specs instead of testing free spaces first?
